puppy poops

Ok puppy has got slight diarrhoea, he threw up last night but was just liquid white stuff....
he has eaten about his weight in snow! So I am guessing that is what will be causing it?! agree or not?

If this is what is causing it should I still starve him for 24hrs and see? cause he will still eat the snow especially as its meant to be worse tomorrow!!

I wouldent starve him but put him on a bland diet of chicken and rice for a day or two and maybe get some pro biotic yoghurt into him to settle his tummy.

Just bog standard rice like long grain? and how much should he get? same amount as he does regular food?
sorry never had to deal with doggy diarrhoea etc before

I don't suppose he has just had his vaccinations? They can make them loose for a short time - or if he has just been wormed. If just a snow overdose then normal sized meal as suggested by rema should be ok. I'd always call the vet though just to be certain the snow bit isn't just a coincidence
