Puppy shopping list

I see! 😆 Well, Yorkshire is really lovely to visit! Nothing wrong with being fussy! As you say its a big long term decision, I just genuinly wondered what made one THAT much better!
She’s got fabulous health tested result families on both sides. Mum and Dad are both very attractive and they type I like. I know she has been raised properly.
I would NEVER buy a ‘gamekeeper’ bred dog (advertised as such). I don’t know… I have more nos than yesses on a list 😄

But going back to this Wensley is near Matlock, says google maps. Is that even Yorkshire?
I've always thought it was wensleydale , which I think I saw a sign say just before we hit Wensley. The chap we bought off works on Lord Boltons estate . We had a brief walk on the estate with our other dogs whilst we discussed pups, the scenery was fantastic!

Ok… there’s two (I looked again) one up near Leyburn. That is further north than where I’m going.
I do start in deepest Devon though, I’m not far from the Cornish border. Everywhere is miles away!

Yes, that's it, near Leyburn. I was born up there, gorgeous part of the world! Good luck with pup!

I’m on my own and I won’t leave them in the car at a services. Current plan is to research a quiet hedge not too far from the motorway and hope not too many people have had the same idea! 😁

I just carry them in with me or leave them in the van, I always bring a nanny dog though so they're not alone

I’ll have a nanny dog but I won’t leave her in a car at a services either. I am so paranoid.

I'm like this too drives OH spare when we have to eat in the car after taking turns to go into the services. And mine is 'worthless' on account of being a spayed untrendy crossbreed.

Best of luck with new puppy!

I travel too much with mine on a daily basis not to be able to leave them but I understand your concerns for sure. My built in crates inside the van are all locked so just breaking into the van doesn't get you access to the dogs
Sadly my dog box isn’t big enough for puppy and Ffee to be separated. So pup will be in a crate between box and dog guard. It will be good bladder training for me. 🤣

Please tell me you’re not doing that in one hit, there and back! 😱

We do this too, I think it’s perfectly normal at a services, unless you have a cool set up like Druid’s. I’m like ‘Right, you get food, I’ll stay here. Now I’ll run to the loo when you get back.’ Of course we do pee breaks for the dogs first. If we’re going on holiday, we tend to find a pub with a decent garden.
