My 7month old Jack has almost lost all his puppy teeth, but sat here now looking in his mouth and his front right incisor (top) has come through but his baby tooth incisor is still there right next to it!!
EEk is this bad?? I thought the general process was one out one in!!!
Is he ok??

It is usually, but doesn't always happen. My boy (one of the terriers in my sig) didn't lose any of his 'baby' teeth, and had to have them removed when he was castrated. He was a sort of rescue, and when I got him he wasn't eating well and when I looked in his mouth couldn't believe that he had 2 sets of teeth, and the worst breath in the world

He had them removed and a course of antibiotics, and didn't look back. I suggest keeping an eye on it, and popping to the vet if it doesn't come out.

Good luck!

My girl had plenty of double teeth. However, all of her puppy teeth were gone by 4 or 5 months old - isn't 7 months a bit old to still be having puppy teeth?

Our JRT had a set of four fangs as a puppy, they didn't fall out so we took her to the vet and she had them removed. No problems, i think she may have had to stay overnight and maybe a course of antibiotics (cannot remember now as it was quite a while ago) but that was it.

Yep - and they were stuck and rotting, hence as soon as I got him and realised, he was straight to the vet....!

I don't know, the last time I had a pup was...15 years ago. I cant find anything in my books on when they should all be out by, but that said, his new tooth has come through but his old one hasnt dropped out so its not so much he STILL has pup teeth, its that it just hasnt GONE yet lol
