Hi all..have spoken to a couple of you about Riley my red and white border collie.
He was left tied to my gate and the rest of the litter were taken to local rescue centre. The rescue home and I are in contact and found out he had been left at mine in case I wanted to breed from him:mad: the owners words!
Anyways hes been a fabby little chap and is growing well and all seems well in his world! Hes around 6 months old.
The problem we have at the moment is his teeth! he has his adult teeth and the majority of them have no or little enamal. He also has undershot jaw!
Lovely vet has seen them a couple of times now and has suggested that riley may have had a reaction to antibiotics but as he nor I have ever given them to him Im waiting for rescue home to find out from the original owners if the litter or the bitch had been treated for anything before he came to me.
Have also suggested that when he goes for the snip he could have proper dental and have a good look at his teeth.
So any ideas what can cause this lack of enamel and any ideas how to protect his teeth in the future?
he is currently on James wellbeloved puppy kibble for breakfast small amount as he also has a semi raw diet..offal/bones/chickens/ handy as landlord is a butcher!;):D
thanks for any help!

Oh yeah you vet is right, you can actually see this in young puppies that have been medicated with Oxytet if I remember rightly, meds used commonly for kennel cough.
What age did u say you got him.
