Currently sat awaiting a phone call from the vet

Daisy our almost 4 month old collie puppy was chasing Zac our 1 year old kelpie this morning like they often do

however this morning she misjudged the kitchen door farm and slammed in to it hard with her shoulder/chest

she then drops to the wall with almighty screaming! be in blind panic pick her up (i have a broken right elbow) so balance her on the left, paw is fine, lower leg fine, shoulder wooo ok pup i see that is sore

in the car and my mother bless her took is straight up to the vets (mother was meant to be giving me a lift to work)

Zac of course came for support for Daisy, vet took a look and agreed shoulder but couldn't make her mind up on what so Daisy is awaiting sedation for X-ray

Zac has gone to play with my mother German Shepard Storm

wile i am here at my desk willing the phone to ring and upset it has happened!

why does every thing come at once?

photo taken of them yesterday refusing to leave me alone in the bathroom...

Ahhh poor little thing, it's always hard when they hurt themselves and worse when they are little - I don't really know why, but it is!

feel for you waiting for the call - hope it's just a bruise and you hear back soon. They are both super cute.

had the phone call, shes cracked her shoulder and even when sedated for x-ray showed signs of pain, we are collecting her after 5pm today and its cage rest for a week then back to be looked at again, shes got a pain killer patch on :(

Oh bless her, she's still young so fingers crossed for a very speedy recovery! Hopefully she copes well with the crate rest - if she enjoys stuffed kpngs etc they can be a godsend in helping alleviate boredom

Poor pup, I don’t suppose you can do much for a shoulder injury except rest and that’s not easy with a 4 month collie

Oh bless her! How to keep a puppy restrained! I hope she recovers quickly and without issue.

Big dog was excited to go out one day and slammed into the crate, snapping off a claw. Boy, did he yelp!

Oh poor girl. We had a terrier who broke her shoulder when she jumped out of a loading window in an old barn, she made a full recovery. Its a difficult joint though, but being young should help.
