Soooo.......preggo sheepdog is due on Saturday, but I've noticed a huge change in her behaviour in the last 24 hours.
However, as some of you may know this is my first litter
I've delivered literally hundreds of babies (lambs, calves and foals
) but I'm not too sure of the signs to look for in a bitch.
She's been creeping round the farm, laying down in the weirdest places where the dogs never usually lie down, and looking sad and fed up.
She wasn't too hungry last night, and barely touched her food tonight. Her belly has changed shape too, it's sort of 'dropped' from her hips.
Does this sound promising? Anything else I should be looking out for?
I've moved her into her own kennel away from the others and made a nice area in it for the puppies.
