Hi All,

My Tb has recently been v poorly and we have come to the conclusion that he has developed IBD. Due to now having such a sensitive stomach and loosing so much condition that his back bone has started to show I am thinking of moving him onto pure condition as I have been advised it is very easy on the tummy.

I have spoken to 90% of the feed companies and have had a range of advice from high concentrated high starch to a fibrenuts and balancer only diet. I am debating on the best options at the moment.

I was wondering if anyone in North Yorkshire, pref between Harrogate and Darlington uses Pure feeds and should I change onto this be interested in splitting an order?!
I am also interested in peoples reviews and opinions of pure feeds and whether it is worth trying.

Thanks for reading

I am waiting for samples to arrive but providing the vet agrees it is the best way forward I will. Currently waiting to see what his total protein and albumin levels are doing before we make any diet changes.
Ordering wise I was thinking longer term.

I have just ordered a couple of bag of this for my youngster. Im hoping that it will help with her weight as she has lost alot recently.
Im in Hartlepool which might be too far away?

I have a very fussy tbx.
he needed more condition.

I've been using pure condition pellets for over a year now.

Its excellent.
He loves it, eats all of it.
settled his stomach and looks great and seems sane!

Change over now!
You won't regret it!

A horse I teach has had a year long history of being under weight and gastric ulcers. he has been on Pure for about a month and each week I see him he looks better. For the first time in the year I have know him he seems to putting top line muscle on and his quaters are looking so much better. His work has not changed, so can only think it is Pure.

High fibre low sugar/starch is definitely the way to go ime.

I'd be very interested in which feed company advised high starch for a horse with a sensitive gut??

I've started using Pure feeds after Clippi came through winter looking awful, for the first time in the 7 years of owning him I have a grey with a shiny coat, he looks and acts fab. Will definately continue to use
