Jumping slightly on the other thread about keeping weight on - I am looking for a feed to put/keep weight on but must be low starch. I can't see the starch percentage of this online - does anyone know it? Or any other suggestions of feed - horse normally just has chaff and a balancer but needs something more now he is older. Thank you.

Says 3% on their website. It's nice stuff, my oldie found it very palatable, but had to stop feeding it as once she had her teeth sorted and gained weight, she proved to be a very good doer

I used to feed the mix and pellets, i'd soak the pellets into a mash, i like pure feed because the balancer is included and the quantity you feed doesn't make huge feeds which is a good thing. the pellets are 7% starch 2.5% naturally occurring sugars, you have to scroll across the analysis to see all the %, the mix is 3% starch and 6% sugar. When in needed a bit extra mine was a fussy sod so gave him the condition mix/pellets slightly higher % then switched back to the veteran. Its nice to have a feed aimed at veterans that isn't high in sugar/starch. If you do need any extra they told me to add speedibeet. They are really helpful if you give them a ring.
