Purple Rambo wug plus green binding

Does anyone know what weight these rugs are? Don't think they are available new now. Just trying to decide if I will buy one for new horse second hand as I had one for previous horse and it was a great rug but not sure how warm it was.

What do you think is a good price for a washed and reproofed 2nd hand one. Looks in mint condition on the side I can see in the pic :o:D

They seem to really hold their value.
 
I got mine for £15 plus P&P, but then it needed a surcingle sewing back on and the D rings at the back for a fillet string. Set my mother on it and she nearly broke her hand bless her!

My little bargain! :D
 
That IS a bargain. I got outbid on this one at the last second but it went to over 50 quid!:eek:

I'd like one for sentimental reasons as well as it was a good rug :o
 
I just came across it on a local FB buy/sell page for horses. It's a wee bit big for him at 5'9 but he's still got some growing to do!

I do love the wugs, Rambo used to be such a good reliable make.

Do you not think they are as good now? Mine was stolen by a loaner of my horse who said it didn't last and I know that was a lie because they do!:mad:
 
Ive got the purple old style and new style. Both are heavy weights 370g, just one has leg arches and a silver binding and the other doesnt have leg arches and has a green binding. I also have the 200g medium weights and they are a blue rug, and the lightweights which are green in the oringinal style but purple in the wug.

This, the original rambos- purple with green binding was 370, green with red was lightweight
 
I recently sold 2 of these as they didn't fit my horse anymore, 1 for £30 vgc one for £20 with the back strap missing and a tiny tear. Super rugs gutted my horse grew out of them!
 
Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I can't work out if we deduced whether the purple wugs with green binding are medium or heavyweight? I recently snapped one up on Ebay as it was £15 Buy It Now as it was advertised as medium weight, but everywhere else I've looked it says they are 400g? 400g would be far too heavy for mine so I'd have to sell it on if it was :/ Anyone know?
 
Firstly what a bargain, I sold mine for a great deal more than that!
Pretty sure that would be a middleweight.
 
De ja vu lol, seems I commented back then too. I had one exactly the same and it mine was def a heavy weight, as said previously I also had the newer version with the leg arches and the new colour for a heavyweight was purple with silver binding, may have change again since. Great bargain
 
Thanks all :) Hopefully it will be a medium but will see when it arrives! May still be useable or suppose if not can always sell on and probably for more than £15!
