Day started of well with some beautiful fly bucks in the dressage warm up and general resistance! Scored a 32 with a personal pest 8 in the walk!

A lovely clear sj, one of her best rounds yet!

Started off the xc flying, put in the hugest leap over the second which had the poeple parked up on the road gasping for breath, i was up there for a long long time it semt! Got around to the fence before the water, and was held due to a fall, which is fine-one of those things. But i was then held for a further 6 minutes, whilst the two people who had then started came past the fence that i was held at, (which tia got very pissed off by), and only for the second person(no other than sharon hunt) to bleeding fall off!! I wasnt impressed, if i was held, then a)why was the person after me not held as well?? and b)why was the second person alowed to start in the first place!!! Anyway, 6 minutes later, me and one very aggitated horse started again, and had completely lost her concentration, managed to get around clear but she left a leg at the corner and i felt myself coming off the side, but didnt fortunatly!!

I then when i got back, had a few words with the starters to try and clarify the situation, then spoke to the TA who wasnt much use! The worst thing was my poor mother was left at the start, worried sick becasue they had stop announcing what was going on whilst i was being held, and all she heard was that there had been a fall at the water and i had been goine near enough 10 minutes!!

Amyway, finished 8th in a very competitive Open pre-novice section against some decent horses! Good girlie.

I was only in the OPN as I was supposed to do day before dressage but I couldn't get there yesterday.
When I arrived this morning they put me in section D with out realising it was OPN.
It didn't go very well it was his first ever event and mine, but we completed so I should be pleased.
I'm going to try and enter Broadway in October.

Not really sure, i was in the situation where i didnt want to flip at him (i seriously wanted to) but i wanted to come across as pissed off!! but yeah, i ended up being understanding, damn.
TA just said it was one of thos things, i interpreted it as, it was sharion hunt and we coudlnt possibly hold up an elite rider, such is life at the bottom of the pond!

Well done that was a great result. I too got stopped at a Hunter Trial, due to someone coming off. I was held up for just over 5 mins. Luckily it was only 2`3" so it didn`t take much to get going, but it does put you off. Well done.

We were at Purston too - Lexi had rather a mixed day in section C.

Managed to get a 52 (!!!) dressage setting new personal record - not it wasn't a good test, but I did think that was harsh!!

SJ - she jumped really well but had an unlucky fence down (the third) - think the cups were quite flat because they did seem to be falling all day.

XC - I thought that was a stiff course for a PN!! Clever Lexi flew round like an absolute star (although we did take one long route at the water).

Overall I can't complain - would rather have dressage problems than jumping problems and we have a whole winter of endless circles planned!!

Sorry I missed you Jacko - she was sweet at the water - did have a bit of a moment of doubt there but she didn't let me down!

Did you see her go over the corner? That was her first one ever!!
