Putting a cob on Pink Powder- am I mad?

I bought a little cob in Nov last year and he was fairly "well covered" ie quite chubby. He lightly hunted through the winter and came out looking quite trim. He stayed that way all summer and we are now going into our second full season hunting and I'm a little worried that he'll drop too much over winter as he hasn't much weight to loose. With other horses like TBx in the past I've use pink powder to good effect, seemed to help keep weight on.

He is out during the day as far as field conditions allow and he has practically unlimited hay / haylage at night but rarely seems to eat much. He has approx 2kg / day of grass nuts soaked and 0.5kg of hifi or alfa A mixed in simply to make it more interesting.

Would pink powder be the answer or simply up his intake of grass nuts?

I would go Pink Powder route. I don't think its mad to put a cob on it. and I think see how he gets on. Enjoy hunting!!

No i dont think its a mad idea at all i tried it on my highland however wasnt right for her so shes now on Meganutril from envisage equestrain as works well for her and since shes has been on it no more colic issues.
