I'm getting my colt booked in for gelding however taking this into account is it ok to put his advertised price up now people don't have to factor in the cost of castration? I was only going to up it £50.

It sounds really silly thing to ask but my conscience is telling me its a really cheeky thing to do! :o

It's up to you but I think it would make him more sellable there are allot of livery yards that don't allow colts.
I had my yearling castrated 2 years ago (not to sell) and it cost £165 so I'd be tempted to put it up more than £50.

Crikey yes. You have saved them the trouble of doing it.

Mine go up by $350! Which is what it costs me to have them done :)

Although I tend to sell mine with the option, as they are generally weanlings or yearlings when they go.

Its all good someone phoned up this afternoon came to see him in the evening and put a deposit down and will cover the cost of castration :)
