Putting his head on the ground

Hi everyone I was wondering if any of you could give me any advice. My young horse has started to stretch in trot however sometimes he will put his nose on the floor and come to a near enough stand still this then pulls me forward. Has anyone got any suggestions of what I could do?

It takes a lot of balance and work on the young horses part to stretch down that far and keep trotting. I think I would let him stretch for a few paces then ask him to raise his head, then stretch again. Don't make it too difficult for him, build ut up slowly.
