So, Archie (who is my joint favourite, along with Ned) got sick a week or two ago. He lost weight drastically and was off his food (he's now eating again). The vets came to see him today...it's not looking good :( His owner has to wait for the blood tests to come back. I have never fought so hard to keep the tears back. He's been my rock for years and now he might never get better.

I know his owner will make the right choice, whatever it is, but it's so hard to hear.
Terrible end to a fantastic day (I'll post another thread about the good bit!)

Please be ok, Arch-parch <3

So don't put on a brave face. Emotions aren't bad :)

Normally I wouldn't have, but there were kids around. We don't tell them when the horses are sick, as they worry and often incorrect rumors get spread around. I've been looking at photos of him and had a good sob and I'm going to go and have a grooming session with him at some point.
