Putting socks on a pony...and other Christmas nonsense

After watching Emma Massingales Christmas video I thought it would be an ace idea as part of BBPs Christmas trec competition outfit to put knee high Christmas socks on him! Did a trial run but he’s got such skinny shiny little legs that even ladies size socks fell down and ended up as Norah Batty wrinkled up ankle socks. Any suggestions on keeping them up? I think over boots or bandages would be too bulky. Thought about vet wrap but didn’t want to put that on a bare leg.

In the grand scheme of things this is not an important problem I realise! (Keeping the antlers on is a whole different problem!)

Antlers = hot glue to an old canvas headcollar.
Socks you could use a fairly soft, wide scrunchie - like the ones you would put in your hair.. or put them under knee boots.

tape - like you can use over bandages if you don't trust the velcro. I've used electrical tape before.

Would a thin line of silicon around the inside edge of the top of the sock work? I'm thinking the way that 'hold up' tights work.
