Is there anyone out there who puts a 9 mth old baby into a lead rein class ? Also I might add that this baby slept through the whole lead rein class , This lady who "owns " the child, boasted to others and me that "oh we will definitely get the cup for youngest rider this year again , We have won it 5 years in a row now " ....Now Im thinking well she does have 5 childern, I wonder is she going to get pregnant again just to win next years

It was only a local charity show fair enough , Even worse (some people may think these "things" are great but I cant stand them and think they are quite dangerous) She had the baby in one of these basket type saddles , the baby was sleeping and bouncing around in it with its little head flopping everywhere , it really was so hard to watch without cringing everytime the babys head flopped .

I think thats really sick!! My best friend has a 9month old, theres no way you could put him on a pony! You'd think the judge would of stopped it. I'm really shocked!

I was watching a (very) old video the other day of a show where I was leading my friend on my pony in the lead rein equitation. There was a baby in that class being led on a 14.2hh, being held on by someone else! The pony then decided to buck half way round. I was puzzled to work out how they thought they could do their own show and actually get placed! Annoyingly there were only 4 of us in the class so she came 4th! The other 3 competitors were taking it seriously and it was just cheeky IMO!!

I must admit my mum used to put me on the back of her horse when I was a baby but we never went anywhere and she definitely didn't take me in any shows!

i thought that childeren were not allowed to ride at shows until they were 3, for insurance reasons.
