Hello...just wondering if any of you have any pygora goats (- thats Angora nanny crossed with Pygmy or Nigerian Dwarf buck...the other way round obviously possible but far from ideal for the poor nanny!)....just interested to make contact if anyone has:-)

I knew someone (when everyone was crossing anything with Angoras)who had a couple of crosses never saw the use myself, difficult enough earning a living off angoras without making them smaller...try america.

America sadly is not nearer than the Scottish Highlands, so will give that a miss thanks!nor fair on the goats who'd be traveling!!

I'm not looking for fashion or for financial reasons-I've met several pygoras and having had angoras(previously & when we had 6ft bison fencing to keep them in with the Bison), and currently having sheep and pygmys, want to increase my herd and having pygoras would mean more to spin without changing existing recently laid fencing which is more than capable of containing my current stock, but am not keen to increase the height, which larger goats or larger breed sheep would need.. plus if milked, they provide two personal uses that I need, as not ideal to milk the pygmys so would only require half the number of new stock, which again is better for the land & many other reasons! I new i should have elaborated more in my unusally short opening post!!
