Pytchley hunt?

Hi.

I am new to hunting in the south Leics to Northants area. I think the Pytchley hunts around us. I am thinking of maybe doing some hound exercise (cubbing) mornings, but not sure if they cover my area or if anyone knows a hunt that does. I am near stanford on Avon way. Would prefer to be able to hack to meet if poss. Also is it a friendly hunt?

Any info would be great.

Correct you are in Pytchley Country ( Wednesday Country to be precise) The Pytchley are a pretty friendly Bunch and they always used to maintain Farmers Hunted as a right. Give the Kennels at Brixworth a phone call.

Thanks. Nice to know they are friendly. Feel a little out of my depth with hunting etiquette and can only afford to do cubbing part, but thought it might be fun. Haven't hunted few a fair few years and always had some company. Wed sounds fine. Did you hunt up here then?

Being thick what does farmers hunting as a right mean, thanks

I'm guessing that it means that Farmers who lands are fairly reguarly hunted over, or/and who provide forage etc, get to hunt for free?

I'm joining the Pytchley for cubbing this year too! I emailed the secretary and asked to be added to the mailing list.
I have been cubbing with them before when i worked in the area, they are a nice bunch
