Q for horsebox owners

I recently purchased a newer lorry and transferred the existing container from my old lorry onto it. The registration document for the new vehicle states the body type as a box van. Do I need to notify DVLA it is now a horsebox ? I cannot remember what it said on my old reg doc & don't want to stir up any trouble at DVLA!

What does everyone elses reg doc have on it ? Any help appreciated!!

I am sure you would have to inform DVLA as well as your insurance company.

when we sent our reg document to the DVLA for change of ownership etc we sent a letter with it statin the details, like change of colour, use etc. when it all came back it was fine.
