She was declared loss of use in 2011 as she had a ligament injury which, although she almost came through sound at the end of the insurance year, she was definitely a loss of use. Gutting.

She's 14 now and sound and still very interested in life, I hack her out occasionally. I was thinking of doing something with her like in-hand showing as I'm sure she's bored in her field. However, she's got a loss of use freezemark....can you even show (low level of course) in-hand with freezemarks?! And would you?

Kind comments please...

I have one, I had her graded as a broodmare after being branded, the judges DID spend extra time looking for a problem although at that time you couldnt see her problem!!!

She did grade well and give me a lovely foal but the extra look was there if you understand me!

Yes and yes and why not. Many LOU horses are more than capable of continuing a useful life at lower levels.

A judge should judge what is in front of him on the day and make no assumptions.
