Q2 of the evening! Vasculitis

My horse had this last year..
He had a massive swelling on the inside of his hind leg at the top, also trouble walking, very high temperature & generally not himself had vet out on a Thursday evening & was rushing him to vets on Friday morning as he got very poorly. Hope that helps . Xx
 
Thanks Figgy, How was it treated? Maybe ive mis-spelt it? This is a skin complaint , Is that how yours started?

Your case sounds far more scary, I hope he/she made a full recovery?
 
Vet did say it was a skin thing to start....my boy was put on very strong antibiotics & bute stright into his vein. He was at vets for a week. He is all ok now but took a long time to get the swelling down. I hope your horse is ok. X
 
Well he's ok at the moment, apart from a very horrible sore fetlock- currently having tests but the vet said he thinks vasculitis. He's not mentioned any possibility of things getting worse. (Well worse than skin wise)
Bit worried now! My vets on holiday but coming early next week so will get things moving on. Thanks for the warning Figgy.
