I have a thorowgood gp that came with my mare, i have never used it as it seemed to me it was to narrow for her and sat far to high (can fit 4 fingers at wither!) Its a nice looking saddle so would be a shame to get rid of it, im unsure if i can change the gullet, i cannot find anywhere that looks ovbious to unscrew. I have a fun ride coming up and would ideally like to ride in a GP rather than my dressage saddle.
i cannot find any model on the saddle just that its a thorowgood and it has the fish system. It has a code on a tag - 65376. i cant even find a size marked anywhere.
I have a picture of it on her that i will upload in a minute. I think it looks abit high on her myself.
sorry if they are big

I don't think you can change that one I'm afraid. It looks like it's an older model. I'd agree in saying it's too narrow, the second photo looks like it could sit on her spine.

Hey chels, yep looks way too high on her, looks poss like a high wither one? Do u know width? Ive got a T4 with adjustable gullet for Addy, i'm not 100% with fit, maybe could try urs if u want to sell? (& u mine if u want?!)

If you e mail thorowgood with the serial number you mention they will be able to tell you the details on model etc.

I have done it when thinking of buying a second hand saddle that owner wasn't too sure of details on and they were most helpful.

Yer, could be the older version - some of them arent changeable. :(

Tip saddle upside down and just under the pommel is where you can change it ... fingers crossed :D
