Hi, my horses are refusing to eat the haylage I have bought - I have thrown more out than they've eaten. It is from a local reputable supplier, so if anyone knows of any decent quality large bale haylage - delivery required near to Market Rasen. Please PM me - thanks.

well there must be something wrong with your haylage then as mine never never waste haylage. Even my fussy gelding. Does it not smell right or is it mouldy. I would send it back! My merchant always exchanges the odd bag of duff stuff.

as for advising of a supplier, sorry can't help you there but try the horsehage high fibre stuff. You should be able to get that from your local feed merchant.

ditto that, i've never had a horse waste a mouthful of good haylage. i'd send it back too, it's too expensive to waste like that! cattle will eat it. i'd be very suspicious of it if the horses are...
i think Lincs Forage has a lot of big bale haylage, worth a try.

I use Baillies Haylage who are based at Market Rasen. All the horses love it. Too much though as they get through it like there's no tomorrow.
