Quarter Marks for Showing ....

I recently asked the same question to a top show producer, and he said the best quater marks for hunters were the vertical stripes - normally three, followed by substantial sharks teeth (ie thick ones rather than dainty ones). I have done a search on google to try and find a picture of what I mean, and here is a link to one similar;

Sorry, in answer to you "how to do them" I do my quater marks with a comb (as in a plastic fine toothed people-hair comb). cut it to the length I wanted it, and use that to produce the marks - it works much better than a brush. I also spray a fine mist of oil and water mix over the hind quaters before doing the marks - make sure not to use too much though, as it will run and you will get streaks.
