quarter marks???????/

hi everyone,

quick question, i have always shown at county level, and have always put quarter marks and sharks teeth on the horses. i vary them depending the class they are doing. BUT...do you put quarter marks and sharks teeth on a coloured horse. i am doing coloured classes and hunter classes......i have had different advice...so now im unsure......

I'd put them on if you're showing your coloured plaited up - not if its a traditional though!!

Depends on the horse, If it is a plaited type and has a mainly dark bum (ie not white) then yes I would put them on but only if you can get ehm even.

Quater marks on grey horses often just look like the horse needs a good groom,

I put them on my coloured - his quarters are a lovely dark brown and it looks smart. He's a light built plaited coloured - more of a sports horse type. I agree that it looks scruffy on white/grey bits.
