How much will Pet plan insure a horse upto WITHOUT a vet cert??

£5000, but might be less if you want loss of use. If you've had a vetting done, even for a cheaper horse they'll ask for a copy of the certificate.
 
no the max is 2500 because thats all i could insure my mare for as i didn't have her vetted, best way to double check (this was augest last year) it to start filling it out for a made up horse and see what it says

Vetting Requirements
Please note our minimum vetting requirements are as follows.
Should you choose to purchase this insurance cover you will be asked to supply the relevant veterinary examination certificate, which must be no older than 30 days.
A BVA Mortality Certificate for:
Any foal aged between 30 days and 1 year of age
Any horse valued in excess of £5000 without Loss of Use cover
A BVA 5 Stage Veterinary Certificate for:
Any horse valued in excess of £2500 with Loss of Use cove
 
I've just taken out a policy with Petplan for a horse I have taken on loan. The owner wanted him valued at £5000 and I had no trouble getting the insurance and did not need a 5 stage vet cert.
