Query??? How big will he make!

4 weeks ago I bought a 2 year old cob x dwb. I was told his mother was a 15.2 cob and dad was a 16.2 dwb. Will the maximum he will grow be 16.2. My worry hes gonna b a big big boy. He currently stands taller than my 15.2 mare and his bum is well up. His legs go on forever.

I havent worked out how to put a pic on here yet so you can see him.

Someone asked this not long ago, and I learnt (can't remember who said it) but if you take a piece of string measure on front leg from floor to elbow, then keeping end by elbow in same place, take the floor end up and that should give mature height.

Very nearly right! Just do it from bottom of fetlock to elbow. If you went from the floor you'd have a monster!

Good job I haven't got my own 2 year old to measure...

Simply because his mum was 15.2 and his dad 16.2 doesn't mean he won't grow bigger as I found out! Mine is out of a 15.2 and his dad is 16.1 and he stands at near to 16.3!
