Anyone who has one - how does it fit?

Have had a bit of trouble with mine have sent two back as they didnt fit, 55 is my normal size but that felt to big so ordered a 54 the smallest the shop does and it fits but still feels ever so slightly not snug!! If you know what I mean.

Help if you can!!!

Yes, they do tend to come up on the large size, usually 1 to 2 sizes bigger than your usual is what I've been told. I would try the next size down again as there is quite a bit of padding in them anyway which will soften.

Great for me cos I've got a big head and usually wear a 7 1/2,

I've got the 7 1/4. They are nice hats so worth this initial trouble your having IMO

Do you try your hat on with a hairnet?
It was interesting that a hair net can really change a snug hat to a very tight hat

I bought the new J3 and its quite tight when i wear my hair net but comfortable when i dont....

I have the peaked ventair in a 7 1/4 and it fits perfectly snugly...but i've always had Champion hats. I have heard people say they don't fit all heads though

No I havent tried it with a hairnet - maybe I will then decide

But I think I need a 53 as it doesnt feel that secure would def feel happier with a size smaller I think!!

I bought a J3 last year too and it felt snug but feels better now as the padding gives a bit. In the end although i'd bought it else wear I took it to Tiggas Saddlery (the legends!) at Aston Le Walls and they fitted it for me, said it was the wrong size and we tried a few others then they swapped it for the best one.

You need it to feel snug so that when it gives its not too big! Will have to buy thinner hairnets

You werent trying the hat on over the Advanced weekend were you?
*agree Tiggas are legends* whilst sheltering from the most amazing storm, they provided us with tea

When I first bought mine it felt a bit wierd as it wasnt as heavy as the jockey skulls. It also felt as though it perched on my head as it was smaller than my previous hat. The more I wore it the more I got used to the different style and now I find it so comfy, I dont even notice im wearing it.

No but was there and during that storm was sitting in the lorry drinking pimms!!! Would have much preferred tea but had no gas to boil the kettle with!!! What a storm!!!
