Hi All, i am just about to buy my first horse and have organised a stable, however i am wondering is it ok to bring along family members to your livery yard? Or will this differ depending on the yard?

You need to speak to your yard about this.
most don’t want extra people milling around, kids etc just from a safety standpoint.
especially at the current time re covid precautions.

You need to ask your yard (I’m sure most don’t view their facilities as a free for all for a fun day out), but I can’t imagine any having objections to the odd friend or family member coming with you on occasion.

Generally you can bring family but it's going to be unlikely with covid restrictions at the moment.

When you say family, are you thinking adults or children? Some yards are more accommodating of children than others so it'll be down to the type of yard; school type settings will be more child friendly.

thanks, yes definately not a free for all day out that would be rather strange! more so just a family member accompanying me from time to time for an hour or so.

I don’t think that would be an issue at all then! It’s nice to have family see how you’re getting on with your new addition!

thanks, yeah i just thought it would be nice to bring one of them along occasionally they are nearly as excited as i am!
