A question for anyone that uses Keratex for poor feet. I've used it through the winter quite successfully on my TB who has really awful feet. But I'm wondering whether I should be using it in dry weather as now is feet are brittle and cracking.

Do you use Keratex over the summer? Would I be better using some sort of moisturiser instead?

Thanks in advance

I swapped to the moisturiser one about a month ago & use that until late autumn (or the weather turns!!)

the point that Keratex are making is that if you prevent the feet getting overly moist in the winter the feet are less likely to crack in the summer as this is caused by too much water in the foot then drying out. The hoof hardener can help drying the feet first. I am now careful about using moisturising products now but I had some good advice from them when I contacted them direct perhaps you could email them and ask for best advice/ product to use?!
