We are still house hunting for something with a bit of land (don't need masses) and have noticed some nice property in Herefordshire BUT so much of it seems to be situated on busy roads. Is this the norm in this county? We fancy the Welsh borders and as I say have seen some great houses, in our budget, but near too much traffic for our taste.

I live in Herefordshire. I wouldn't say most property is on busy roads. Obviously if you don't want to be on a busy road, then you will end up paying more for a property with land though. We just have fairly quiet lanes, woodland and bridle paths where I am. whereabouts are you looking?

Thanks for the reply CazD - we are looking pretty well anywhere on the Welsh border or even just over. Most of what estate agents have sent us have been on a busy A or B road, so no good for carriage driving.

www.herefordequestrian.co.uk do advertise some equestrian property locally. some of the estate agents advertise equestrian properties on there too. Or you could try the Property section of the local weekly paper, The Hereford Times, that advertises all the latest properties that go on with the estate agents.
I don't know where in Herefordshire would be most suitable for carriage driving, as the bridleways I use wouldn't be, but there is a Hereford and District Driving group that might be able to help??
