I usually feed Benevit advance vits and mins but my local shop stopped selling it and I ended up replacing it with NAF general vits and mins but since the change my horse who is a good doer has lost her sparkle and has no ooopmh.

Several other things have changed at the same time so I'm not sure if these have anything to do with it as well and she almost certainly has had a virus in the last few weeks.

So my questions are - 1) should I feed her pink powder or propell plus to get her to perk up a bit and if so, do I stop feeding the calmer and normal vits and mins in the meantime and 2) are propell plus and pink powder suitable for a good doer?

3) do think I should just switch her back to benevit advance?

Ok as no-one answered I had a little look on the internet and it seems I am not feeding her the right amount of the new supplement so will order myself a pot of benevit and double the amount of naf and hopefully that should do the trick!

Have you compaired exactly what is in the two to see what the difference could be?

I always feed Naff Pink powder anyway but I've never tried the other vit/min supplements you have mentioned.

I do use and really rate the supplement by Argo called The Original “Vit-Min” Cod Liver Oil Condiment, it's an all round vit min supplement formulated with
cod liver oil and contains seaweed, spices, minerals and herbs, you get a bit of added condition/energy from the cod liver oil if you feed as per the competition ration (2 hands fulls a day) and you can really see the bloom in the coat within weeks, could be worth trying it and best of oil, it's only £7.00 odd per tub, I wouldn't use anything else now. :)

I use Equivite Orig for both my girls, for some reason I got NAF General one time and both my very good doers looked dull, stary coated and generally lack lustre - I changed back to Equivite and both improved within a couple of days... Ive never compared the two, but there must be something lacking or lesser in the NAF supplement...
