Question For Springer Owners

I have a 14 month old springer bitch and im certain shes still not had her 1st season.
I first thought that maybe id just missed it and it wasnt very obvious but i know this is highly unlikely.
While i was chatting to my friend the other day she said she thought that springers were nearer 2 when they have theyre 1st season, is this correct or should i start worrying??

My brothers ESS didn't have a season till 18months, but she was the runt and late to develop in everyway!!!

ours had hers at nine months so maybe pop yours into the vets?
