question for those on livery yards who have individual turnout......

We have the option - I prefer mine to have company. At the moment there is 3 in my field and it's about 2acres ish . We change fields 4 times a year - summer fields tend to be a little bigger. But nothing lives out 24/7 ATM.

We have winter fields and ones that are saved for summer. An acre per horse. Summer can stay out as long as you like. Winter bit more restricted but they go out for a few hours. If not go on the walker for an hour or so.

Our paddocks are about an acre (summer grazing slightly bigger) horses have to come in at night while on winter grazing (rule of yard that YO makes sure everyone knows before they are offered a place)

My individual paddock is probably about 3/4 of an acre, which is mine all year round for me to manage come summer and winter.
Other people whose horses require more grass can get moved from field to field where there is spare grazing.
The yard is probably about 50% individual paddocks and 50% shared.

an acre per horse in summer (I have 2 ponies in together so I get 2 paddocks). I switch them between these two paddocks as I need and they are beside each other, so they have plenty of grass.
In winter, I have one paddock = 1 acre.

I have one small paddock same winter and summer. But this is the first year they've been out in bad weather so probably serious lack of grass come summer.

We have individual paddocks of approx 1 acre per horse and are for all year round. There are single and double paddocks and are ours to manage as we see fit. Turnout in winter is entirely up to each owner. My horse shares paddocks with my daughters horse giving us 2 one acre paddocks which we rotate all year round.

In winter horses get 2 acres with option of an acre side paddock in really bad weather if they just want to quickly muckh out and stretch their legs in summer usually for 2 horses I like to see them in a 3-5acres plus field which they can stay out 24/7 if they want or a 10 acres field for 4 -6 no more than that

Don't know exactly but estimate approx 3/4 acre for the Winter paddock and an acre plus in the summer paddock. Not had to feed any hay in field this winter. There is plenty of room to run about and plenty to eat.

Some of the other liverys (all DIY Yard) have less rotation but all fields get rested at some point.

Our paddocks are under one acre, and some are smaller so i need to carefully manage my grazing. Two of mine are together and the section D is with another horse which means i can rotate the paddocks. If there is a drought though this really affects the grazing and we have to supplement with hay in the summer.Yard is nice though so worth the problems with grazing.

We have paddocks of 1 1/2 acres per horse. They are allowed 24/7 turnout all year, but I provide haylage in the field each day in winter.
