Last fall I posted asking opinions on BP's (link: http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=489378) and ultimately decided on a KAN. My family got me one for Christmas, but I was off on my measuring for the cover, so didn't get to use it right away. I've been trying different covers, (customer service has been top notch!) and still have only managed to fit it over a thin top. Ideally I know they are meant to be worn as close as possible to your skin, but I swear I have seen photos of people wearing them over hoodies, jackets, etc.

So, I am just wondering, how do you wear yours? How many rides did it take for it to "break in" so to speak? :)

I wear a thin base layer / t shirt then my BP with normally a hoody over the top, they are quite snug I must admit I prefer that feeling also helps with my pants posture. it took a couple of long hacks to get used to mine and to kind of mould to my body, took me just as long to get the knack of zipping it up on my own but now I wouldn't be without it ....:)

My daughter wears hers over a thin base layer, then anything else goes over the top. Hook your thumbs into the armholes and pull it right forwards to engage the zip, you will get the hang of it!

I felt like mine fitted perfect and didnt need 'breaking in' - but maybe i was just lucky.

Worn close to skin with long sleeve t shirt or possibly a thin jersey jumper underneath. :)

you shouldnt wear any kind of BP over anything thick like a hoody or jacket - they should be worn over a thin layer, the most I wear mine over is a fitted rugby shirt type top. Having said that I had to return my Kan as I never got it to fit or feel comfy, even with the next cover size up and Im a size 8 wearing a kids racesafe:o

I wear mine over a jumper or show jacket as I have a plate holding my collar bone together and need the padding there or any body protector really hurts it. I'm a 10/12 dress size but have a large kan. the back was too long so they cut it down for me with a knife. Don't ask what I'm going to do about clothes in the summer time I've not got there yet!
