Does anyone know if I need to buy new arms or can I just buy the addiditional mirror to attach to the ones already on.
I have a 2001 Iveco 75e15.
Has anyone changed them themselves? Is it difficult?
Thanks

I had to buy a new arm for my 2003 Iveco. They are very easy to change, just be careful that you remember what order the springs all go in on the bottom attachment.

If you look at your arm think is it possible to attach another mirror 9 inches ish high on it.

The Iveco arm is £40, but they have none left, although you might get lucky as I did - one had just be returned.

Try these people for mirrors and arms as they will be cheaper than Iveco http://www.serckintertruck.co.uk/home.htm

Don't forget the kerbside mirror as well that goes above the window. Also the certification form.

Thanks for that. Ive seen some on Ebay but will have a look at the link you have sent. Thankfully Its already got the kerbside mirror on. I had a quick look under the rubber thingys at the attachments and they just looked bolted on, all very rusty though.
josiesmithuk, I take it you are buying two then? My hubby gave me the look when I said today I think I will get 2 so they match

Just had mine done today, it is a 01 plate and I needed a new arm, only forked out for one though and it was £35 plus VAT. Have the bill in front of me as I type and whole kit and kaboodle came to £188

Eeek,
I appreciate they had to start somewhere with this new law but why choose our years reg. Surely the older ones have the same problem too. Why not just start with all the new ones.

They did, since 26th Jan 2007. Now the retrofit programme has started. Luckily if your lorry was first registered before this date you don't also need the windscreen mirror.

A new legislation came in that lorrys registered after 2000 (I think) need the new wide angle mirror on the passenger side and maybe the kebside mirror too (not sure about that but mine already has this thankfully) . As far as Im aware it involves a new arm fitting with original wing mirror and additional mirror above it to give a wider angle of view. There has been links posted on here but in New lounge 1. The link is to Vosa, so you may find it on the Vosa site. You need a certificate too. Aparantly you can be taken off the road or fined if your wagon doesnt comply. It came into effect in March I think. Mines not done yet either
