Is she a registered connemara?
If so then you can do large M&Ms and connie classes including their breed shows. There's a good british connemara website if you google it.
She should be left as natural as possible but it's ok to neaten things up. Tail def shouldnt be pulled. Mane not plaited.
There are M&M working hunter classes or you could plait her and show her as a regular WHP- either 143cm or 153cm depending on how big she is- the jumps are bigger for 153s

aww i love your pone!! do you know breeding? she looks exactly like my old pony
laugh.gif

connies go shaggy, and full tails if poss, but if pulled then just let it grow
laugh.gif

I think she is totally gorgeous.
Looks like she has a cracking jump.
I can't help you with the showing stuff - just have a comment on your position. In some of the photos you seem to be slouching quite a lot and hunching over.
In the pictures where you are wearing your body protector you don't do it, probably because it forces you to sit up straight! Just something to work on
smile.gif

For native classes they should be Au naturel, but I think you can do a bit to Connies check the website for how to turn out. Tack depends on the class but because she is a native type if you go for plain and workman like you won't go far wrong.
She looks as if she'd make a nice working hunter type.

she has a pulled tail at the moment and is 14.2hh :P
I do not think she is registered, and her passport is irish and basically everything is 'unknown' even her height!

only joking! its great to have feedback on my riding as on my last pony, he sort of taught me to slouch and now with damona she likes you to sit up tall, and thats what i am not doing! thanks, x

if she isnt registered then you cant do connie classes
frown.gif
sorry.

but you could do normal working hunter pony classes, and for that you need to be plaited and pulled
laugh.gif

Oh dear. I didn't mean to nag you!
I write what I need to do in big letters on the back of my hand, so that everytime I look down I am reminded what I need to work on (ususally toes in with me!) and I can check if I am doing it or not.
Might be worth a try?

okeley dokely! can i register her or is it at birth? x

You need to have breeding papers etc, so they know that she is full connie, and doesn't have something else thrown in there
wink.gif

I love your XC outfit - are you wearing a stock under your rugby top, or a white polo neck?

I'm not a showing expert but used to groom for some fells in M&M workers...

Basically to do M&M worker classes at an affiliated level (PUK, BSPS, HOYS etc) you need to have a registered native breed - if you pony is breeding unknown then you can't do affiliated native classes. If you have a native pony that is unregistered the you can show it at local level (so not qualifiers) however the pony hould still be turned out as correct for the breed. You will be able to get guidelines for connemara turnout from the society website (http://www.britishconnemaras.co.uk/connemara.htm) but with M&Ms it is always as natural as possible with minimal trimming and neatening (and even that isn't strictly allowed although we did used to trim off our fell mare's moustache!). You definitely don't want a pulled mane and tail. Tack is as per normal WHP standards, simple, workmanlike but for natives I'm not sure about the rules on spurs - I think it's a no but don't quote me! We always showed with no numnah but you can get away with a discrete saddle coloured numnah or showing pad type thing uner the saddle if you prefer. You want a tweed jacket.

You could show in WHP classes with her I think however check with someone who knows their stuff (people on here who show) whether she is the right type to do this type of class and exactly which class she shold do. For these classes you will be required to have a pulled tail and plaited mane and trimmed legs etc.

She looks like a cracking pony - have fun!

she is definately the right type to do normal pony workers, my old pony was spitting image and did very well in workers
smile.gif
he was only a part bred though, but was never out of top 3 in county whp

Bless her she is looking so well, do love little Mona

But she isnt a registered connie, and doesnt have any breed papers so you can show as such.

Her twin (exactly the same personality and height/stamp etc but black) is back now...
