Question re registering horse with BD

Bit of advice needed please. I'm in the process of registering my horse with BD and the form asks for name on passport. When I got my horse I changed his name and the new sticker on passport shows his new name followed by his old name in brackets. Am I ok to just put his new name on BD registration form? Thanks.

I'd ring up BD and ask. I'm not certain to be honest. I know a friend who was made to use the original name on her horses passport rather than the one he is now known as for other affiliated stuff - not sure if the new name is on his passport though.
BE and BD registered my horse with the original (and only) name on his passport but BS would not accept it as "too similar" to another registered horses name so he competes BS under a slightly different name which is rather confusing!!

BD will only register the horses name as the name on the passport. If you changed the name on the passport this should be ok. But give them a ring. They are lovely and very helpful.

hello, i called them last week about this, its the name on the passport that they will use, or if that name exists toy will have to add a letter or number, so my horse hannah has to be registed as Hannah B

Even though i wanted to call her Hannah wanner this was not allowed
