Question regarding water pipes

Hi, bit of a hard question to explain really but; my farmer has finally agreed (after 6 years of struggling) to let me have water in the field!! yeah! he is going to supply the pipes and tap etc but as with all farmers they are so busy i'll be waiting another 6 years for them to do it so he has said if we dig it in he'll sort the rest. Anyway, we have a stretch down a bank where we will dig it in 2 feet which is no prob, then we get to a brook where we will run the pipe under a small bridge, then on the other side we have to some how take it around the fishing pond then back into the ground and to the barn where the water it. My question is, where the pipes comes out of the ground will it need insulating, and if so what with?

I would say so, as it would freeze in the winter.not sure what sort of lagging you would need, have a look in the Library in the DIY section or on computer sites.
