The intention of this questionnaire is to collect data for my dissertation which aims to determine the commercial viability of a regional equine event held during December. Currently there are a number of equine events which run in December with some more successful than others. One in particular is a national show jumping event which has run for a number of years at a large indoor equine venue which attracts a variety of competitors from national to international level; however it doesn’t attract a huge number of spectators. Therefore I want to identify what spectators want and need in order to attract them to this type of event.

Participants have the right to withdraw at any time, and can answer individual questions. All data collected will remain anonymous and confidential.

7. Do you have any interest in the equine industry? I don't understand the question. Do you mean a vested interest as in do I work in the industry, or do you mean "do you care about the equine industry"? Please elaborate.

b. Indoor venue (For example, Olympia or Horse of the Year show) Yes, I wouldn't ever go to the NEC again (went for the British Open), it's a total rip off.
