We are looking into feeding our horses some natural items for overall health. The products that we have I mind and have been researching are:
Cinnamon, rose hips, garlic powder, turmeric, flaxseed powder, rooibos, cayenne, apple cider vinegar
We have found suppliers for most of the items on the list, and while they can give us feeding instructions on the specific item that they sell, they don't necessarily sell more than one item on the list. Some suppliers have different feeding quantities for the same product. ie pure organic garlic powder.
My questions are:
I would like to get some recommendations from people who use the goods on the list and what quantities they feed and why. Also, does it change the quantity of a certain item if I feed some of these items together? Does anyone feed a combination of the above? And could you share your personal experience with each?
We have a three senior ponies and a 11yo 15hh cross. Also, my one mare experiences very mild allergies in the spring (teary eyes being the worst of it. She is not itchy, does not cough, etc.) Our vet says it is due to pollen and dust. We have done everything to eliminate as much of the dust issue as possible, but I have heard amazing things about natural products to combat allergies. Does anyone have any recommendations, even if it is not something on our list, we will look into it
We are still very early into our research and are very excited to learn more. Thanks in advance!
