Sorry me again! But I'm going to Wales tomorrow so i wont be posting for a few days!
What questions should i be asking a prospective riding stables? They run some sort of pony share scheme, im not sure if its going ahead yet but if it does what do i need to ask, i think its a kid share equivalent- you're not really sharing but they like to make you think you are, which suits me but this is what ive come up with so far:
Where about are you off X (road given but no postcode)
What sizes of horse/pony can you currently offer (I am fairly well built)
How many horses/ponies are currently on offer?
What sort of insurance do you have?
What facilities are on offer- is there a school and
do you offer lessons or is it hacking only?
If you do offer lessons is this at extra charge or
can this be arranged as part of the share?
In the 'X named arrangement' arrangement what are 'minimal yard duties' - does this include mucking out/grooming/feeding?
Are you able to cater for the slightly less confident or novice riders?
Is it possible to try a trial period for a certain amount of weeks?
If the rider is ill or goes on a subject trip/family holiday how does the arrangement function? Can days be rearranged depending on trip dates?
If the horse is involved in an incident or sustains any field/stable injuried who is liable?
Who pays the insurance? For shoes and feed?
Does the amount paid per month cover everything and there are no hidden extras?
What else?
