On Sunday I went to a friend's yard with Ali (she has lots of XC fences scattered around various fields), and I rode him in a pelham. I had really good brakes, I jumped various things, including a combination which was a skinny roller, then 1 stride and over a small coffin, and then 2 strides and over another skinny roller. Ali jumped everything really well, no stops, no run outs, he was in excellent form! Everything I jumped was no more than 3ft, which isn't that big, but I was still very pleased with him, as most importantly I had control over him and I didn't have to aim for a hedge to stop him!

I'm going to bring him out hunting this Saturday (please don't shoot me down...

), it's an easy day though, very little jumping at that meet and it usually doesn't finish late, which is ideal for Ali's first time out... I also fished out some red ribbon earlier for Ali's tail, which will hopefully stop people having their horses heads up Ali's a*se which would seriously pi$$ him off...
