And mostly because a lot of you saw him when I first bought him home...

Little Fig had a cracking outing resulting in 66% at inter 1 the other weekend...

Not perfect as we had a discussion in the 3's and prior to the first piri (and the walk was tight, dropping us from our usual marks for that). But very chuffed with him.

Can hardly believe how far he's come!

You'll all be pleased to hear that he's doing plenty of jumping these days too :)

In other news, not so little Nova is starting to grow into his head!!! He's still weedy and gangly and going up and down as we speak. So he'll remain at home unbroken for another few months.

Internet not great so struggling for pics, but Goofy and Bruce are both fab. Goofy debuted at Ele the other day despite a disastrous warm up and Bruce is still his grumpy old man self...
 
I wish I could have lessons with the two of you as I am currently going absolutely nowhere with my ex-racer ;)

Hey, I feel deprived as there are no matchy photos in this thread. What's all that about?!

I think it's the angle but yes the little un does look to have a teeny body on a big head! Glad he's growing into it haha.
 
The difference in those pictures is truly amazing you should be very proud of yourself it just doesn't look like the same horse the 2 of you have come a long way we'll done:)

yes nova really has some growing to do bless him he looks very sweet, thank you for the update.
 
Congrats on the result! The change in figgy is truly an inspiration - you must be so proud of what you've achieved.
 
His head isn't toooo big he's just so scrawny bless him!!!

WOW amazing transformation, looks fab, sounds like he is a real superstar to, i am another who loves reading your posts and updates , gives us something to aspire to ;-)
also loving the matchy matchy .. so look forward to seeing more photos soon...lol
 
I love your before/after pics of Fig, it doesn't even look like the same horse! Amazing transformation.

He was a good lad yesterday (except a naughty moment in the Inter 1!) and held his own against some seriously tough competition!

Nova gone totally bum high again! Growing like a weed :)
 
Inspirational example of an ex racehorse. Just beautiful. I follow your social media accounts for inspiration with my own tb. She hasn't raced for a long time but is starting her transformation into a dressage horse. She seems to be taking the bling, patent nosebands and anky pads in her stride. I think fig might even be my favourite horse on the forum :O
