I noticed there have been a lot of feeding babies threads of recent, which has been incredibly useful in helping me decide what to feed my Appaloosa Colt when he comes home!
So i just wanted to clarify... when i get him he'll be 5 months, it'll be alright to feed him on D&H Suregrow with Alfa A wont it?
Thanks for your help

That what most of the youngster are on at our yard once they have been weaned. They always look well for it, and dont seem to have any problems?! If your worried, phone D&H (if that who you normally use) they are always very helpful.

We have gone the Alfa a and suregrow route this year, mainly because we have a couple of chubby warmblood babies this year who I don't want to grow too quickly. Previously we always fed Mare & Youngstock mix but I'm trying this year to feed a fibre based diet rather than cereal.

i've just put this in another post in NL - I would really highly recommend winergy growth. it is fibre based, really low starch and proven to be safer to feed than mixes and cubes as in it is less likely to contribute to DOD's and OCD. Also, it says in their bumf that it helps them develop a stronger immune system and makes them calmer and easier to handle/train.

i use it on my adult horses and love it and my firend used growth on her mare and first foal this year and he is now strong and healthy. Might be worth a look?
