Evening ...
Quick question that might sound daft.
Am doing a dressage como this weekend but am brand new to this.
Have my times, the class is quite large and we're on early on.
How long does it take to get scoresheets, are they done straight away or do you get them later? Am wondering whether we head home straight after or if we wait for whole class to finish?
Said it would be a daft question!

You usually have to wait until the whole class has finished, although some places will let you take your sheets, if you want to leave earlier take a SAE with you and they will send it on.

score sheets won't be ready until the class has finished and then it can be a while!
i tend to leave a stamped addressed envelop if results are going to take a while and i don't want to hang around.

Staying is a great idea, you can learn a lot by watching others they will not all be as experienced as you might think and even the mega smart horses dont always go so well once in the arena, enjoy yourself hope it goes well:)

If it's BD rules you have to wait until the end when the judging is finished or the judge sanctions it. Also if the same judge is judging you in the another test you are not supposed to get your sheet until after you have done the second test so you can't benefit unfairly from any comments made on your test sheet.

Some places will have you have your sheet, that's if it's unaffiliated. BD affiliated will make you wait! But if you can hang around and your boy behaves great to learn all sorts. Good luck ;)

If it isn't far from your yard take the horse home, pop him in his stable with hay and feed and go back to watch the rest of the class and get your sheet.
