So we all get back, tack and teeth done regularly on our horses, but what about us? I had a musculoskeletal check done today, and getting MY back checked will now be done when the horse gets his done!

Does everyone else already do this? I know I resented spending the money on me, but then decided if I was getting him straightened out it was a waste of money not getting me checked too as I could be causing the issues.

If youre in bristol go to that dr anderson guy... Ive been to so many chiropractors and hes the only one thats worked... and it only took one session, all the others seem to take about 4 sessions and its still not right!

Wish you'd said that when I asked about chiros in Bristol LOL.

Too late now, started at a place near work, but if they don't make a diff I will go to him instead.

haha sorry missed your post completely!!! I went on results day... (I missed the town trip planned by all the friends that day, which with hindsight considering th trouble they got into wasnt a bad thing!)... He works in the BUPA place in central bristol, I dont think he calls himself a chiro though... I went to this guy local to us and he did the accupuncture and manipulation etc and was making my shoulders better but my rtight hand would still move and i sat behind the movement badly but after 6 weeks of quite intense treatment i was still getting pain when rotating shoulder backwards and when i told the guy this he just scratched his head... went to this guy and he literally just crunched my lower back (which I can remember hurting when Perky dumped me when I was about 10!) and my shoulder hasnt given me any grief since, absolutely amazing..! And Im sitting squatre, not behind the movement and my motehr isnt screeching at me across the work in "Keep that bloody right hand STILL!"

During my late teens and early twenties I was reguarly checked every 3 months - through sports clinic at the hospital after a crunching fall which could have killed me.

It was less so afterwards but Im now going again. My chiro for my horses does me and shes bloody brilliant!

I get mine done the moment i start feeling crooked, or in pain between my shoulder blades, or when my sciatica comes back and i can't alleviate it on my own. my back got well and truly wrenched years ago when a horse slipped over in the school with me, so i can tell immediately when it starts going wrong again.
i get the horses done more often than myself though!

even though i had a back injury 9yr ago (had lots of treatment back then) i have not had my back looked at until recently..
decided last Oct that as i spend so much money getting my horses back looked at that i ought to get mine sorted, esp as i have health insurance at work.!! plus i was having a bit of trouble with my left leg.. turns out it was quite bad, am down to every three months now - really don't think i could go any longer than that as it really has helped..
i also had a sports massage a couple of weeks ago and boy has that made me feel sooo much looser in my hip area.!! was rather uncomfortable for the first couple of days but that was to be exoected aparently.!! totally worth it IMO!!
