Just wondered how many people plait up for local unaffiliated ODE's?
As I am thinking of doing a few this year and always used to plait up, but my mares mane is so thick and she hates it being pulled so my plaits end up like golf balls :( Doesn't help that she is a cobxTB but has the body of the TB and the mane of the cob :rolleyes:

Thanks:D

Personally for me it depends how early i am on, cos my plaits dont tend to stay in over night! I dont really see any harm in not plaiting as long as every thing else looks smart and tidy... personal choice i think!

I would generally plait up for dressage but might take them out for showjumping and cross country in case I need an extra hand hold! (And saves me doing it at the end). If it's the mare in your sig she does look smarter plaited (obviously she looks lovely unplaited aswell ;) )I do think it is nice to make an effort to look good for the dressgae, unl;ess you can get her mane to look very neat down then I would plait it.

It is the one with the big white blaze in my sig, but the pic of her plaited was when she came back from a training yard and she had nice short thin mane. Her mane is about 6 inches long now:eek:
