Hi all

just a quick question. I know someone who has a horse that on his BE record has never evented prior to this year, yet he has been entered HC in two BE90's?

what would be the reason for this? surely if the horse is eligible they aren't allowed to be HC? or is it because they are on medication? although surely you wouldn't be allowed to compete even HC on meds?

just a pondering, I thought you had to enter if you were eligible and could only go HC if the horse had points (perhaps he has points from overseas - but why would this not show on the BE record - it says 0 for FP and Points)

thanks :D

Normally horses running HC in BE 90s have riders who have ridden above intermediate (recently). If that is not the case I don't know the answer, but someone will :)

Yes, that's right. My boy has 2 HCs at BE90 on his record because his previous owner had competed above intermediate.

Most likely because of the rider. That said, if the horse has competed overseas FN results would not show - I'm not even sure FEI results would unless the rider was British and the horse reg BE, although they would obviously be on the horse's FEI record.
