I am currently putting together a business plan for a livery yard and was wondering if someone could please give me an indication of insurance premiums for public liability, employers liability, property and contents (the yard not the residence) and care, custody and control
I'm justing looking for an indication at present for a 12 horse full livery yard
Many Thanks if you can help

£380 Good grief!

Wish mine was that. I pay £1,100 for 15 on full livery. Thats public, employers etc.

I'm paying £322 this year for buildings/tack/PL/C&C, all horses on full livery. Don't need EL. I'm with NFU and have been for years, so I get a loyalty discount and this year they've given another discount cos it's their centenary year

Yes it the employers liability which will push it up, about £1200-1500 for a mixed livery yard of 13 horses.
But you need EL even if you have voluntary workers or people who work for livery. Also the contents cover could push up the price, if as I found out the property you are on has had serious claims in the past... LOL!
